I was admitted as lawyer in 1982 in Japan and in 1989 in New York, U.S.A. I have handled international family matters as lawyer and as mediator. I have also handled the 1980 Hague Convention cases. I have been the family court conciliator of Tokyo Family Court from April 2004 to September 2009 and from October 2013 to date. I was a Committee member for international law (private law) of Bar Examination by Ministry of Justice of Japan from November 2007 to October 2009. I was a mediator (part time judge) at Tokyo District Court from October 2009 to September 2013. I completed the advanced training course on Cross-Border Family Mediation organized by Cross-border Family Mediators and Mikk in July 2015.
